Welcome to the Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee, Inc. webpage. The Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee (the “Committee”) is a member of-an international organization with a branch in Atlanta, Georgia, and another in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  We are excited about our new web presence and hope you will find it helpful in determining who we are. Our major objective is to give life to the Sister Cities motto which is “peace through people.” As a result, we have undertaken to engage in several projects which will see reciprocal benefits to both of our cities.

As many of you may know Montego Bay and Jamaica played a major role in the development of the civil rights movement in the U.S. In their earlier days, civil rights leaders used Montego Bay as a base to plan their strategies on pursuing many of  their civil rights goals.

It was therefore fitting that in 1972 Atlanta and Montego Bay saw the need to formalize a partnership under the umbrella of Sister Cities International. We hope you enjoy visiting our website which will be enhanced as we engage in more activities to benefit the citizens of our two cities.

We've undergone many organizational changes.  Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee, Inc. is now a 501c3. As chairman I look forward to continuing the organization's positive partnership between the Atlanta and Jamaican community.
